Luton – The Vauxhall Vivaro-e has added to its long list of awards after being named ‘Best EV Van’ at the 2022 Fleet World ‘Great British Fleet Awards’. The Vivaro-e shared the title with its Stellantis group sister models, and was also highly commended in the overall ‘Van of the Year’ award.
The Vivaro-e is at the forefront of Vauxhall’s commitment to electrification, with the brand now one of the few manufacturers able to offer an electric van across its entire Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) line-up. Vauxhall is continuing its electric vehicle expansion with the goal of offering an electrified variant across its model line-up by 2024, and to offer only fully electric cars and vans in the UK by 2028.
The Vivaro-e outsold every other e-LCV on sale in 2021. With a choice of two battery sizes (50 or 75kWh), the Vivaro-e offers a WLTP-approved range of up to 143 or 205 miles respectively. It supports up to 100kW rapid charging, with an 80% charge taking as little as 30 minutes, as well as boasting a maximum load volume of 6.6m3 and a payload of up to 1,226kg.
John Kendall, Editor, Van Fleet World, said: “The fleet sector’s fondness for the Vauxhall Vivaro has been carried over to the electric Vivaro-e which was the best-selling electric LCV last year. Choose the battery size to suit your operation and the body length. Price is competitive, range is good and it’s easy to drive. A British-built winner.”
Paul Willcox, Managing Director, Vauxhall, said: “As an integral part of our electric light commercial vehicle line-up, it’s brilliant to see the Vivaro-e named ‘Best EV Van’ by Fleet World.
Praise such as this from industry experts further demonstrates why Vauxhall is leading the way in driving Britain’s businesses to an electric future.”
The Vivaro-e already has a long list of awards under its belt, including ‘Medium Van of the Year’ at the What Van? Awards 2022 and ‘Best Medium Electric Van’ at the Driving Electric Awards 2022. The Vivaro-e was also voted ‘International Van of the Year 2021’, alongside multiple other top honours, while its sales success underpinned Vauxhall’s status as the UK’s best-selling e-LCV manufacturer in 2021.
The Fleet World Great British Fleet Awards were announced today (29th March) at a ceremony in London. Fleet World’s Awards have been running for nearly 25 years, celebrating the very best products and developments within the industry.
