INSIGNIA EXCLUSIVE INTRODUCTION

Since its launch Insignia has been a great success - in October it topped the D-segment at total, fleet and retail - and is taking on the premium marques such as Audi and BMW. With the growing trend of personalisation, particularly amongst these premium manufacturers, Exclusive is the next logical step for Insignia and is designed to offer Vauxhall customers an opportunity to create a very individual car. Initially launched on Insignia, but with plans to expand to other carlines, Exclusive will give customers a wider choice of colours, alloy wheels, seat trims and décor. The ultimate expression of Exclusive is the chance for customers to create their own unique colour for the car!

MODEL OFFER

The entry ticket into the Exclusive world will be via two new Exclusive models based on SRi VX-Line NAV and Elite NAV Grand Sport and Sports Tourer models. EXCLUSIVE PROCESS

Once a customer decides to order an Exclusive model it then opens up the possibility for them, should they wish, to explore the further options available.

From here the customer can explore the options open to them: by clicking on ‘start the experience’ the wraps come off and the customer is presented with various actions: along the top of the screen are headings which when clicked on, summarise what’s available in the programme (including an augmented reality app, which enables the customer to view their configured vehicle via their smartphone/tablet).

Along the foot of the screen a ‘visualisation’ can be started. Once a body style is selected, the exterior choices first include alloy wheels, then move on to colour. There are 15 unique ‘Exclusive’ colours, not available on regular Insignia models, and these are included, along with the regular Insignia colour palette. Each of the 15 Exclusive colours is priced at £4,400 (inc.VAT).

CHOOSING YOUR BESPOKE COLOUR

Should a customer wish to develop their own personalised colour, click on this element of the visualiser and, using the hue, saturation and brightness tools any conceivable colour can be created. A customer can even click on ‘select a picture’ and any colour from any photo that’s stored on their computer can be sampled to create a car in that shade.

For a colour to be developed, a physical reference is required, so in this instance a .jpg file can be created and then printed. A customer could also bring in something they may wish to match the car colour to – the possibilities are endless.

Pricing for a personalised colour is £5,300 (inc.VAT). Please note there could potentially be a surcharge applied if a number of samples were required to be developed, or a particularly expensive paint finish was required. However this is expected to be a rare occurrence and the customer would always be advised of this in advance of agreeing to continue.

The interior choices available cover leather, cloth and décor – the leather choice is more flexible than currently offered on SRi & Elite models and the current Brownstone Nappa leather option is now only available on Exclusive models. There will be additional leather and interior décor options available during 2018 (however, they are shown for reference in the visualiser: Umber & Captain leathers, and Brushed Ice & Ghostwood décors).

Finally, the customer would click on finish and share. This premium visualiser gives a clear example of what their car could look like; if the customer wishes to proceed, clicking on ‘configurator’ will take them to the main Insignia configurator to build the car of their choice.
