During MY19.5 the 1.0 Turbo 105PS engine will have an advanced EVAP system added as standard to store and dispose of harmful fuel vapours before they can escape to atmosphere.
Fuel tank vapours are sent to canisters containing activated carbon, the vapours are absorbed within the canister and during certain engine operational modes fresh air is drawn through the canister, pulling the vapour into the engine, where it is safely burned.
This will then mean that the full suite of Astra petrol engines are equipped with this technology thus ensuring they are as environmentally friendly as possible.
To facilitate this engine upgrade the list price of each 1.0 Turbo 105PS model has increased from 01 December 2018 by £50.00.
SE trim no longer available, making way for an exciting new Astra trim level combined with a compelling offer with full details to follow in January 2019.
All engine badging removed except ECOTEC on 1.0 105PS models and ECOTEC D on 1.6 Turbo D 110PS models. This ensures that the lowest CO2 models are more easily recognised and identifiable and from the design perspective removes needless clutter from the tailgate area of the vehicle.
