Sales Manager

Aston Melton Mowbray Limited have a great opportunity for a Sales Management position to join our successful and expanding dealership.

This is also an opportunity to take on an exciting role and progress into a higher-level involvement within the business.

This role would suit a sales manager, sales controller, general sales manager, business manager or experienced sales executive looking for progression

A family ran Vauxhall sales and service dealership for over 30 years, with a newly appointed FORD service on a 3-acre site this is the time to join an outstanding dealership who is leading the car market share for Vauxhall ICE and electric vehicles.

The main purpose of the role is to manage and coach successfully a team of 5 executives, PLUS 2 showroom assistants and to give the executives the support to help them sell new and used vehicles, with a range of finance, GAP and add on products.

The role

  • Increase individuals’ sales performance
  • Maximise all sales penetration
  • 2nd facing customers
  • Manage the outside display and support all promotions
  • Maintain all records of transactions and produce reports
  • Manage customer satisfaction
  • Adhere to all company policy and procedure to deliver an outstanding customer experience
  • Working closely with the owner and Managing Director to drive the business forward
  • Assisting the DP in maintaining the Vauxhall operating standards
  • Creating an environment where the department and colleagues excel and develop


  • Honest, hardworking, reliable, self-motivated, a passionate people person with a proven track record in sales and performance – we would consider someone out of the industry; however, you would need to be able demonstrate your ability to generate results
  • People management being key in this role to be successful and a strong communicator at all levels

  • £35,000 basic + Bonus scheme -up to £75kOTE depending on candidate experience
  • Showroom Hours Monday – Friday – 8.30am – 6pm
  • Saturday 8.30am – 5pm
  • Sunday the showroom is closed
  • 6 days off a month, includes every Sunday, working towards 8 days off a month once settled into role
