The Vauxhall Corsa has marked a major achievement, with over one million units of the latest generation Corsa F now sold since its launch in 2019. Built at the Zaragoza plant in Spain, the popular supermini continues to win over customers across the UK and Europe with its combination of modern styling, practicality, and advanced technology.
The UK’s best-selling supermini so far in 2025, the Corsa has remained a firm favourite with British drivers since it first appeared in 1982 under the Nova name. More than 2.9 million Corsas have been sold in the UK alone, with over 204,538 units of the current generation registered here to date. It was also the nation’s best-selling car overall in 2021.
The Corsa’s success story extends beyond the UK. According to Germany’s Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), it has been Germany’s best-selling small car for four consecutive years, and it continues to top the charts across several European markets. In Q1 2025, Corsa registrations across Europe were up 18% year-on-year, highlighting the car’s enduring appeal.
Florian Huettl, CEO of Opel & Vauxhall, commented:
"Our Corsa is an absolute bestseller. One million Corsa of the current generation show that customers really love our small car. With its fresh design, affordable top technologies and high flexibility packed in compact dimensions, it appeals to the most diverse groups of customers. This unique combination makes it a fundamental guarantee for success in our portfolio."
The current Corsa line-up features a wide choice of powertrain options, including efficient petrol engines, new 48V hybrid technology, and two fully electric variants. The latest Corsa Electric Long Range offers an impressive 266-mile range (WLTP), thanks to a 51kWh battery and improved drivetrain efficiency.
