The following changes take place at MY16.5 for Corsa. The 1.2 70PS engine is deleted and replaced with a 1.4 75PS engine resulting in better performance and lower CO2, pricing increases by £100. Intellilink R4.0 is introduced replacing the current IntelliLink system with improved aesthetics and functionality. 5-door Corsa Sting models are removed from the product offer.
We are pleased to announce the introduction of the 1.4 75PS 5 speed manual to the Corsa engine line up. This engine replaces the current entry level engine, the 1.2 70PS 5 speed manual. The new 1.4 75PS engine gives an improved driving experience as well as benefiting from improved performance and reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Pricing increases by only £100 for all these benefits.
Fuel consumption and CO2 output over the out -going 1.2i 70PS engine is much improved. This new 1.4i 75PS delivers an additional 2 mpg on the combined cycle and a reduction of 6g/km of CO2, which reduces the standard rate of Vehicle Excise Duty payable in the second year from £110 to £30.
First seen in New Astra, R4.0 IntelliLink is introduced on Corsa at MY16.5 and replaces the current IntelliLink unit.
As well as a re-designed look R4.0 IntelliLink also introduces Apple car play to Corsa.
Apple CarPlay takes the iPhone features you’d want to access while driving and puts them on the vehicle’s display in a smart, simple manner, allowing drivers to make calls, send and receive messages and listen to music right from the touchscreen or by voice via Siri. Apple CarPlay supported apps include Phone, Messages, Maps, Music and compatible third party apps.
R4.0 IntelliLink is standard on Corsa Design, Energy, Limited Edition, Red Edition, Black Edition, SRi, SRi VX-Line and SE.
From MY16.5 Corsa Sting will no longer be available in 5-door body style. Corsa Sting continues to be available in 3-door body style with both 1.4i 75PS & 1.4i 90PS engines.
From MY16.5 SE models no longer have chrome inserts in the door handles, additionally on SE models the frame of the exterior mirrors changes to black grained plastic, the mirror housing and mirror foot remain body coloured.
