For MY17 all Astra models come with a Trailer Stability Programme integrated into the ESP system. Factory fit and Aftersales fit tow bars will now have the same maximum towing weights.
There are some new values for MY17 that are calculated based on sea level. Therefore, the following caveat applies: “The permitted trailer load applies up to the specified incline and up to an altitude of 1000 metres above sea level. The permissible gross train weight decreases by 10% for every 1000 metres of additional altitude.”
