Experienced Service Front Counter Advisor

Aston Autopark are a Vauxhall Main dealer – Peugeot – Citroen and Ford authorised repairer as well as holding a used car stock of over 200 vehicles.

Established over 35 years and family owned and run we are a top-rated business for customer service and serve a wide area surrounding our facility, we are expanding rapidly and have room on our 3.5-acre site for further development.

Responsibilities

  • Front of house reception / counter – meet and greet
  • Maintaining customer service levels, meeting targets set and deadlines
  • Look after the customer bookings and checking vehicles
  • Deal with customer complaints and the return to workshops
  • Advising customers on course of action and invoice any work, whilst maximizing any opportunities to upsell through the vehicle health check process
  • Encourage customer satisfaction via exit handover and follow up contact
  • Prepare invoices, explain and take payments
  • Produce estimates for repair costs and times
  • Quote and sell service plans

In this role

  • You’ll be the crucial link between our customers and the workshop, delivering a seamless and professional service from booking through to collection.
  • You’ll welcome customers at the front of house, keep them informed throughout the process, and proactively manage follow-ups to maintain strong relationships and customer satisfaction.
  • You’ll complete admin tasks efficiently and accurately, support customers with future vehicle needs, and act as a trusted advisor when it comes to maintenance, repairs, and service plans.

Qualifications and Qualities

  • Motor trade experience in this role or similar
  • Exemplary customer service skills
  • Great organisational skills
  • Proficient in using computer systems
  • Full cleaning driving licence
  • Highly motivated
  • Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues
  • A team player who can handle issues professionally, keep calm under pressure, and use systems confidently to keep customers updated

Working specifics

  • Monday to Friday (8.00am to 6:00pm) plus a Saturday morning (8.30am to 1:00pm) as part of a rota within the existing team (1 in 3)
  • 22 days holiday, plus 8 specified bank holiday days
  • Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and anticipated contribution.
