Vauxhall is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Catlin as its new Managing Director.
Steve is no stranger to the red Griffin, having started his distinguished career at Vauxhall over two decades ago as a Performance Analyst and working his way up to Retail Sales Director by 2012. Since then, he has held senior leadership roles across the automotive industry, including at Saab, SEAT, Audi, and most recently as Managing Director of Volvo Car Financial Services UK.
With vast experience and a passion for the brand, Steve takes on the role of Managing Director at a pivotal time in Vauxhall’s transformation, supporting its commitment to electrification and accessibility.
Steve Catlin, Managing Director, Vauxhall, said:
“It’s great to be back working with Vauxhall, which has always been a brand close to my heart. A lot has changed since I was last here and not just the décor, but the motor industry as a whole. However, Vauxhall has always stood for practical innovation with a distinctly British voice. Now, with a fully electric line-up and a clear sense of purpose, it’s a brilliant time to be part of the journey. I’m looking forward to building on the progress we’ve made and the exciting road ahead.”
Steve’s appointment comes as Vauxhall continues to make major strides in the electric vehicle market. In 2024, the brand sold over 15,000 electric vehicles, becoming the leading electric brand across the Retailer Network. It now offers a fully electric version of every car and van it produces, reaffirming its role in making EVs more accessible to drivers and businesses across the UK.
Eurig Druce, Group Managing Director, Stellantis UK, added:
“Steve brings deep experience across the industry and a strong understanding of Vauxhall’s role in shaping the future of British mobility. Vauxhall, a home brand for Stellantis UK must return to growth and I am confident Steve will lead the teams in a positive trajectory.”
Vauxhall is also celebrating major milestones including the Vauxhall Corsa remaining the UK’s best-selling supermini, and the brand becoming the first UK manufacturer to offer electric and petrol hybrid versions of the same car at the same list price with the New Frontera.
With Steve Catlin at the helm, Vauxhall is focused on continuing its leadership in electrification, supporting customers with practical innovation.
