Vauxhall has announced pricing and specification for the new Mokka GSE – the fastest electric vehicle in the Vauxhall range.
Delivering outstanding power, performance and specification within its segment, the new Mokka GSE combines rally-inspired design and engineering with motorsport levels of performance from a fully electric powertrain featuring a peak output of 280hp, immediate torque of 345Nm, electrifying acceleration of 0-62mph in just 5.9 seconds, a top speed of 124mph and up to 209 miles of range (WLTP).*
Customers can experience true OMG! moments in everyday driving with the Mokka GSE as a result of sporty, front-wheel drive dynamics inspired by the Mokka GSE Rally. With a kerb weight of less than 1.6 tonnes, which is exemplary for a battery-electric vehicle, it also has a specially developed steering system, as well as a tuned chassis, suspension, and brakes optimised for fun, engaging performance.
Meanwhile, a generously equipped cabin ensures the utmost comfort and convenience featuring racing-style bucket seating, and the latest driving assistance and infotainment technologies – all included as standard.
With an OTR list price of £36,995, the Mokka GSE qualifies for a £1,500 saving under the Electric Car Grant, bringing the price down to £35,495 OTR for even greater value. The Mokka Electric range starts from £31,005 OTR (after the ECG). First deliveries of the Mokka GSE are expected by the end of the year.

Exterior
A unique GSE and rally-inspired design provides the Mokka GSE with sleek, modern and aggressive lines that make an immediate statement of its performance pedigree from first glance.
Bold and dynamic exterior design blends performance-inspired details with premium finishes including a black roof (a body-colour roof is available as a zero-cost option), tinted rear windows and high-gloss cladding to give an athletic silhouette. Further high-gloss air inlets and a lower grille framed by a distinctive GSE accent and logo enhance the front profile.
The Mokka GSE features sports bumpers in high-gloss black, complete with performance inlets and GSE badging, which are complemented by black-painted skid plates for a rugged yet refined look. GSE badged panels are located along the flanks of the vehicle, enhancing the unique identity of the Vauxhall performance sub-brand. Lighting is equally impressive, with Intelli-Lux Matrix LED headlights delivering precision illumination and LED taillights providing a crisp, modern signature.
Mokka GSE sits on striking 20-inch GSE performance diamond-cut bi-colour alloy wheels, wrapped in high-grip Michelin Pilot Sport EV tyres for assured handling. Customers can choose to upgrade to Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3, which enhance efficiency and can provide a further eight miles of range (giving a total of 209 miles WLTP*), for £100.
Interior and convenience
A newly designed interior carries the hallmarks typical of the GSE performance brand. The driver and front passenger sit on special heated Alcantara™ GSE sport bucket seats with integrated headrests. Adding to the racing aesthetic and feel, a heated vegan leather steering wheel (flattened at the top and bottom) delivers direct feedback, while aluminium sports pedals feature. Elsewhere around the cabin, a black headliner, black interior dashboard décor, Alcantara door inserts and ambient lighting create a stylish and performance-focused ambience.
Convenience comes in the form of the Vauxhall PureSense package, equipped with a host of advanced driver convenience and safety technologies. Intelli-Lux Matrix headlights with adaptive beam deliver exceptional visibility, while front and rear parking sensors, a panoramic rear-view camera, and Side Blind Spot Alert make manoeuvring simple and stress-free.
On the move, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Lane Positioning Assist, and Speed Sign Recognition work together to aid drivers, supported by intelligent features such as Lane Keeping Assist, Forward Collision Alert, and Autonomous Emergency Braking. For added protection, the Mokka GSE includes a Drowsy Driver Detection system, Intelligent Speed Assist, and an automatic headlight levelling system.
Vauxhall PureConnect turns up the technology offering with a 10-inch Multimedia Navi Pure Panel system featuring satellite navigation with electric vehicle route mapping and wireless Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. Unique to the GSE are specific pages featuring performance data such as G-force display, acceleration values, battery management data and much more.
Further amenities come in the form a wireless charger for mobile devices, two rear row USB Type-A power outlets, a six-speaker audio system and access to Vauxhall Connected Services. Electric folding, adjustable and heated door mirrors, and keyless entry and start, are also included as standard.
Rally-inspired performance
All the high-voltage components of the standard Mokka GSE, such as the motor, inverter, battery or wiring harness, come from the Mokka GSE Rally.
The Mokka GSE features a 54kWh battery (51kWh usable) powering a single electric motor with a peak output of 280hp and 345Nm of torque. The Mokka GSE accelerates from standstill to 62mph in just 5.9 seconds, while achieving a top speed of 124mph and up to 209 miles of range (WLTP).*
An 11kW on-board charger with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability is fitted as standard (V2L adapter available as an accessory through Vauxhall retailers). Battery recharging from 0-80% takes 27 minutes using a 100kW DC rapid charger, while a 0-100% charge from an 11kW AC charger will take 5 hours 45 minutes.
Mokka GSE drivers can choose from three distinct drive modes. In ‘Sport’ mode, the electric car is set up for performance and delivers its full power with specific calibrations for the steering, accelerator and ESP; in ‘Normal’ mode it reaches up to 112mph and in ‘Eco’ power delivery is reduced for the greatest possible efficiency.
The Mokka GSE front-wheel drive system features a Torsen multi-plate limited-slip differential as well as a chassis with specific GSE front axle knuckles, front wishbone bushings and new double hydraulic bump stop shock absorbers all round. The rear axle has 189 per cent increased roll stiffness compared to a normal Mokka Electric thanks to a new anti-roll bar.
The front brakes are from performance braking experts, Alcon, and are 380mm in diameter with four-piston callipers painted in attractive GSE yellow.
Electric All In
As with all Vauxhall electric cars, the Mokka GSE is available with the Electric All In package to make the transition to electric easier than ever, with access to a variety of charging solutions to provide the ultimate in peace of mind electric motoring.
With the Electric All In offer, retail customers of Vauxhall’s electric range benefit from eight years of comprehensive roadside assistance, including emergency charging assistance.
In addition to extended roadside support, Electric All In includes £500 credit which can be used towards either an Ohme home wallbox installation, Tesco charging credit or Octopus Electroverse charging credit. Customers can also take advantage of 10,000 miles’ worth of free home charging when switching to the Intelligent Octopus GO home energy tariff, providing significant cost savings for EV owners.**
