Vauxhall has taken the next bold step in its electrification journey, announcing that its GSE sub-brand—known for dynamic and emotionally charged models—will go fully electric in 2025.
Unveiled through a striking short film titled “Three Letters”, the launch introduces a redesigned GSE logo and a fresh identity as part of the energetic ‘OMG! GSE’ campaign. This new direction reflects Vauxhall’s ambition to combine high performance with zero-emission mobility.
Florian Huettl, CEO of Opel & Vauxhall, said: “The GSE sub-brand stands for particularly dynamic, exhilarating, and emotional Vauxhall models. In 2025, we will take the next important step. The new GSE models will be fully electric. This demonstrates how powerful, exciting, and inspiring battery-electric mobility can be.”
Originally revived in 2022, GSE—short for Grand Sport Electric—was introduced with plug-in hybrid variants of the Astra, Astra Sports Tourer, and previous Grandland. The next generation will be fully battery-electric, offering high-performance driving with zero tailpipe emissions.
Drivers can expect an “OMG feeling” behind the wheel, with the new models delivering a sporty design, driver-focused chassis set-up, and confidence at speed, cornering, and braking—all while producing no emissions.
The ‘OMG! GSE’ campaign follows Vauxhall’s modern marketing tone seen in ‘Yes, of Corsa’, ‘#GOGRAND’, and the recent Frontera launch. With this bold electric push, GSE models are set to define a thrilling new chapter for Vauxhall.
